It's Fake.

It's fake. Ok. Next...

The Bigfoot "body" is rubber. It was a huge hoax. Everyone is now scrambling to put it all in perspective. Life moves on.

I didn't report on this story until the press conference. I figured it's now paranormal news and I'll post some news here. Ok, I held up my obligation to report on the news.
Now, we can move on?

Tom Biscardi on Fox News Promoting the alledged "Body"

Here is a segment of the interview on Fox News of Tom Bicardi talking about the alleged Bigfoot Body found in Georgia. The "Body" looks much like the costume and in my mind this is either a deception or some gimmick to get attention. We will see...

NOTE: Multiple versions of this video are presented in the event a video is removed from the internet.
I know that many are holding out hope that this will turn out to be the real deal. And indeed at this point there is the chance that it could, even though the "body" in the freezer is almost certainly a costume.

IF
DNA has been taken from something it would be very difficult to fake, unless someone gets DNA from an ape or other source and passes it off as "Bigfoot" DNA. Another thought is that the "body" in the freezer is a decoy while the real body is being sequestered somewhere. Supposedly the body has already been transported and delivered to a buyer so it is unlikely you will ever see it, at least for a time. The most that will be revealed is photos and video. If this is a hoax, and I am inclined to believe at this point it is based on the freezer body, then it is the biggest hoax perpetrated on the Bigfoot community in some time. Shades of the Minnesota Iceman.

One thing is for sure, many people are positioning themselves to be present for the event of the century. Or at the very least to be the first to break the story.
I personally am finding it fascinating how certain folks are scrambling around to be ready. Even retracting past comments and associations with this subject. It is an interesting story and I must admit a glimmer of hope still remains, but I fear a large number of crows will need to sacrifice themselves soon for the coming feast. :-D

When a Bigfoot Body is finally revealed I doubt it will be handled as shoddy as this fiasco has been. Nor will any of the Bigfoot media stars even know it's available until all the deals are in place and a true press conference is called. My concern now is how this will affect everyone after it is over. How will it affect the groups and people who are involved and those on the outside looking in? There will be ramifications. Your comments are appreciated.

PALO ALTO: NEWS CONFERENCE TO DISCUSS CLAIMS OF 'BIGFOOT' FIND

(AP)Three "Bigfoot'' seekers, including a Redwood City man who released a documentary titled "Bigfoot Lives,'' claim they may have the body of one and plan to release a photo and what they claim is DNA evidence at a news conference in Palo Alto on Friday.

Matthew Whitton and Rick Dyer, Georgia residents who lead Bigfoot-tracking expeditions, say they found the body of what appears to be a Bigfoot in the woods of northern Georgia and will join local Bigfoot researcher Tom Biscardi at the news conference, according to Robert Barrows, who is publicizing the event.

Barrows' name is known in San Mateo County, where he has made multiple bids as a Democratic primary candidate for the District 12 Congressional seat formerly occupied by the late U.S. Rep. Tom Lantos and now by Jackie Speier.

"I think you'll find that this is the real deal,'' Barrows said of the alleged discovery.

Whitton, a police officer in Clayton County, and Dyer, a former correctional officer, are not saying exactly where the body was found or where it is now, Barrows said.

Biscardi, a veteran Bigfoot tracker who said he went to Georgia to view the find over the weekend, said DNA tests are being conducted and a team of scientists will study the body, but declined to name any scientists involved.

Officials from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources Wildlife Resources Division said the largest wildlife they are aware of in the state are black bears and white-tail deer.

Weird Things Happening In 2008

We are in the middle of a major UFO wave. Indeed, 2008 will likely go down in history as another banner year for UFO activity. It began in January in the small town of Stevenville, Texas and has spread around the world. Major UFO sightings are happening almost daily and with this being a time when the Internet is easily accessible by even the most remote user, it's springing up everywhere on the net. America, Britain and other countries are being besieged by UFOs!

A multitude of journalist avenues are covering this "UFO Flap" from newspaper to daily and weekly Television programs. Larry King has done several programs on UFO's this year. MUFON is in high gear and tabloid vehicles are grinding out stories too. There is no need to fabricate a good ufo tale when real sightings are happening every day. Just pick one and run with it!
Also, video cameras are playing a major part in this flap. Never before has so many UFO's been caught on tape as has surfaced in 2008. Of course some good fake ufo's pop up occasionally too, but they are usually identified and dismissed readily.

As our probes on Mars discover water and possible life, the skies are filling up with strange lights and daylight discs. The "strange phenomenon" arena is indeed running the gauntlet this season.

There are even some Georgia boys claiming they have the body of a deceased Bigfoot in a ten foot freezer and will release photos and information about it September first. Be it twisted southern humor or the find of the century, many are glued to their computers awaiting some new tidbit of news from these bad boys of bigfootdom. Time will tell. The last big Bigfoot story turned out to be a mangy bear, and don't forget the Texas Chupacabras and their mange ridden counterpart coyotes.

We are not without a crash or two also, Needles California was recently visited last month by MIB's and black helicopters after something crashed there. A leprechaun was caught on camera by someone quick on their camera-phone trigger and even dinosaurs have been sighted around the world. And in May a farmer in Tennessee got his land stamped with this years first American crop circle. Just a few miles from last years trampling.

This, the year Monster Quest and UFO Hunters are riding a peak in their popularity on television and a new X-Files movie is in the theaters. 2008 is turning out to be the year of years for strange stuff!

Is it weirdness run amok, or are we on the cusp of some new and astounding revelations? All I can say is keep your camcorders handy and keep watching the skies (and the woods). You never know when a UFO, Bigfoot or even a leprechaun will grace your view! ;-)

FOX2 News: UFO SPOTTED IN CLEVELAND OHIO USA

Paranormal believer Erik Beckjord dies at 69

This report that Eric Beckjord has passed has been published:

Friday, July 25, 2008

Erik Beckjord, a paranormal investigator who tried to share his theories at his UFO, Bigfoot and Loch Ness Monster Museum in North Beach, has died at age 69.

Mr. Beckjord, who had prostate cancer, died June 22 near his home in Lafayette, where he was caretaker of the Crosses of Lafayette, a monument dedicated to the more than 4,000 American troops who have died in the war in Iraq.

According to his Beckjord Blog, he was in charge of updating the sign displaying the total death count at the monument, which includes thousands of small white burial crosses on a hillside overlooking Highway 24 and the Lafayette BART Station.

Jon-Erik Beckjord was born in 1939 in Duluth, Minn. His father was Col. Philip Beckjord, a physician who ran Army field hospitals in Germany during World War II.

Mr. Beckjord grew up overseas and in the Washington area. He came west to attend graduate school at UC Berkeley. Eventually he went to Hollywood, where he was living when the Malibu fires of 1993 tore through his first Bigfoot Museum. According to family friend Molly Hanson, he lost what he claimed were nine huge track castings of the footprints of the elusive Sasquatch and the only known existing hair and blood samples. But the Bigfoot Museum survived.

Mr. Beckjord surfaced in San Francisco three years later. He opened his Bigfoot, UFO and Loch Ness Monster Museum on Union Street just west of Washington Square on Halloween in 1996. An additional area of expertise was crop circles, which he documented on expeditions to the United Kingdom.

"I'm not going to waste a whole lot of time convincing the skeptics," he told a reporter a few days before opening, "because the skeptics are not going to pay even a dollar to get in here."

The nonskeptics were expected to pay $3 ($2 for children) to come in and see his science fair-style displays, but the main attraction was the oversize museum founder and curator, who sat at a desk willing to discuss at length any sightings or other documentation.

He trusted hunches and distrusted the government. One of his hunches was that clues to solve the Nicole Simpson murder were buried in wet leaves at the scene. Under cover of night, Mr. Beckjord said, he went to the scene with a psychic to investigate. The evidence he collected was in a special "O.J. Room" at the museum.

"A lot of this weirdness is right under our noses," he said at the time. "We may belong to aliens. We may be experimental animals. But I can't prove it."

As it turned out, the lack of any substantial evidence was a detriment to paid admission at the museum. It didn't last long. He then operated Captain Neon, a repair company for electrical appliances.

Survivors include brothers Ross Beckjord of British Columbia, and Peter Beckjord of Maryland and sister Pam Forbes of Virginia. A private service and burial will be in Duluth in autumn.

Donations may be made to Hospice of the East Bay, 3470 Buskirk Ave., Pleasant Hill, CA 94523.

There is some controversy that the report may not be true, if it is then R.I.P. If not, then it's not totally unexpected from him.
