UFOS 1973 New DVD!

UFOS 1973 is the new documentary from JML Multimedia and Cryptovideography. I have been working on this program for the past four months and researching it for much longer. I am very proud to finally have this video out and available!

In the fall of 1973 I witnessed a large orange ball drift over my home in southern Mississippi. Since then I have witnessed a few other UFOs, but that first encounter with the unknown caused me to wonder about the mysteries so predominant around us. UFOS, Bigfoot, and other paranormal subjects. At that age I didn't keep up with current events so I was unaware of the Pascagoula case and all the others from that year. But as I grew up I would have more encounters with the unknown and eventually set about to investigate some. Ultimately it led me to form Cryptovideography and my own production company, then producing Special Interest Video on these subjects.

This new documentary explores the UFO events that took place in 1973. With history happening all around us, UFOs were being sighted almost daily. Wrapped in the tapestry of major historic events, UFOs were being seen and reported but rarely made front page news.

Behind the scenes;

Almost all of the effects in this documentary were created by me. A time consuming process and difficult to work with. I even did a bit of 'acting' for the reenactments. When working with a low budget you wear many hats. But I had help from a very qualified animator, Brian Robart of New Dog Digital. Brian created some of the UFO sequences and I edited them against backgrounds and added movement. He did the rotating green UFO you see in the promo above chasing the helicopter. Thank You Brian!

When working with a subject like UFOs you can't just go out and shoot them like you can everyday objects. So all of the UFO scenes had to be created. Most pass by in a few seconds in the final program but many took days to make. Thus is the world of video editing.

In researching this project I was lucky to have the opportunity to include footage by UFO Researcher Bill Knell who gave me permission to use his video of Charles Hickson telling about the Pascagoula abduction in his own words. And from Wendy Conners of fadeddiscs where I was able to get the actual audio recorded by Sheriff Diamond. The sheriff secretly recorded Charlie and Calvin the night it happened and the full audio from that tape is included in the documentary. Plus in the bonus section you will find the full 18 minute recording by Colonel Charles Halt as he investigated the Rendlesham Forest case in 1980. Often referred to as "Britain's Roswell" this recording was made by his group as they were seeing the lights and investigating the landing area! A very special THANKS to Bill & Wendy!

The program recounts several events from 1973, some in detail. It was a very active year and impossible to include every sighting but we cover most of the major ones. Stephenville Lights Return

STEPHENVILLE — Over a three-month period this summer there were 1,000 UFO sightings filed with the National UFO Reporting Center.

Some 75 of those UFOs were reported over the state of Texas.

Stephenville is one hot spot we've shown you before.

Now the small town is getting buzzed by UFOs again and we have the video.

"You could see the oval shape. Got my friend, I said 'dude, you got to come look at this,'" said Andy Monrreal.

Monrreal was hanging out with his Dublin High School friends when they all saw something they say looked like a UFO.

"You could see a shape. It was like a complete circle," said Monrreal.

He rolled off a half minute of video on his mom's digital camera.

His dad saw it too.

"I never seen nothing like that in my life. Big lights and everything," his father said.

So did mom.

"It was a round thing. You could see lights around it, flickering and changing. It was awesome. Just turning and flickering," she said.

Back in January, Erath County went UFO crazy after a handful of people reported similar lights over Stephenville.

International press and UFO hunters descended on the town.

This time, many more eye witnesses are phoning the Stephenville Empire Tribune or the ET.

Reporter Whitney Ashley said many people don't want to talk publicly, like several workers at the paper, who also saw the lights.

"I've got at least 10 right now willing to go on record," Ashley said.

"The sheriff's department got lots of calls in the southern part of Erath County."

Down around Dublin, home of DR Pepper.

The Joint Reserve Base in Fort Worth confirms seven F-16s training in the area at the time.

Several witnesses told us they saw the fighters, after they saw the mysterious lights.

Is It Real??

A couple of things in this video (below) make it a difficult image to fake. One is the consistency of the UFO to go out of focus when the camera auto-focus iris changes. The second is it moves behind the trees. Either the trees are artifacts put in the video in post so the UFO can move behind them, or the hoaxer made a complicated mask of the tree limbs to match the video and layered it over the image so the UFO would appear to go behind it.
All of this can be done with software available now, some pro and some off the shelf. But it would be a time consuming job to get this quality and you would need to know the software very well.
One other thing about the UFO. It looks like something I've seen before, especially the bottom. So it may be a model. If this is fake, and I'm sitting on the fence on this one, then it's one of the best I've seen! Take a look:
